After forming a group in 1998, the Sugababes female pop trio from London has released eighteen singles and five albums that have reached top 40 charts worldwide. With five UK number one singles under their diamond studded belts, they are among the select few British groups to have all their albums reach the top 15.
These delightful divas became the first pop group ever to play the main stage at Glastonbury and they've had more top ten hits with original songs than any other girl group since The Supremes, Destiny's Child and Bananarama. They won a Brit Award for "Best Dance Act", and in 2006 were named the UK all-female act of the 21st century from British Hit Singles and Albums.
Sugababes and Girls Aloud debuted at number one with "Walk This Way" in the UK top 75 singles chart in March 2007. The all-girl groups sold approximately 51,000 copies of their duet, the official 2007 Comic Relief song.
Sugababes has attained triple platinum album sales from three of their albums in the UK and has sold over nine million albums worldwide. Despite being known in the tabloids for having a turbulent relationship amid constant rumours of breaking up, Sugababes keep coming up with success after girl-powered success.
