Mamma Mia! is the back catalogue of Abba accompanies Catherine Johnson’s story in which a young woman and her mother find themselves involved in past events. Mamma Mia! is set on a Greek island where the main character, Sophie, is in search of her real father. Sophie’s mother, Donna, refuses to talk about her past. Sophie narrows the possibilities down to three men, and invites each to her wedding. The Musical Mamma Mia is directed by Phyllida Lloyd whose credits include ‘The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie’ at the National Theatre and the title was taken from ABBA’s huge rock hit which was also entitled ” Mamma Mia!” Mamma Mia! songs include ‘Money, Money, Money’ and ‘Dancing Queen’.
