Robbie Williams TicketsRobbie Williams was originally part of a successful boy band, Take That. When Take That broke up the predictions were that the other members of the band would succeed. They underestimated Robbie Williams. With anti-Barlow stories, Robbie Williams immediately set about stirring up the media. While Barlow was being groomed as the UK’s new George Michael, Williams caused mayhem. Robbie’s 1996 debut single was a cover version of Michael’s “”Freedom”". After spending time in rehab, Robbie Williams came back and recorded an album that eclipsed Barlow’s debut both musically and critically, Life Thru A Lens. On the album were the tracks, “”Old Before I Die”", which followed behind “”Freedom”" to number 2 in the UK charts. Robbie Williams’ single which was released for Christmas, “”Angels,”" answered any concerns about his career heading downhill. His album, which had slumped, entered the UK Top 10 for the first time and eventually climbed to number one 28 weeks after it was first released. In October 2002, Williams signed a record-breaking 50 million Euro contract with his label, EMI Records.
