The PoguesThe Pogues were formed in the early 1980s and went on to become one of the most original and radical bands of the decade.

Formed by Shane MacGowan and Spider Stacey, the band took their name from the Gaelic term for "kiss my ass" - pogue mo thoin.

They released their debut album Red Roses for Me in 1984 to critical acclaim. This was followed up with Rum Sodomy and the Lash in 1985, produced by Elvis Costello, who would go on to marry bandmember Cait O'Riordan.

In 1988, the band released If I Should Fall From Grace With God - their most commercially successful album - which contained the classic single Fairytale of New York.

With the band's original lineup recently reformed, the Pogues are back and bringing their incredible live show to the UK and Ireland.
